Vizcaya Museum Skylight

Historic Vizcaya’s Museum Skylight was originally installed in 1986. This pre-Hurricane Andrew skylight was in disrepair and not up to the current Florida Building Code. Its replacement would be not only more pleasing to the eye but also truer to the unique Vizcayan details. The new canopy is an aluminum frame in a low pyramidal form that allows visitors to feel there is nothing between them and the sky, all while protecting patron from the elements in the gorgeous courtyard.
