Vox Miami Phase II

Phase II of Vox Miami, located by the South Miami Metrorail Station, is a 13 story residential building primarily serving the University of Miami. Spanning 413,649-SF, the development features 163 student housing units accommodating approximately 400 beds, along with 13,284-SF of retail space. Amenities include a rooftop pool, fitness and yoga facilities, a business center, courtyard garden, tenant storage, and lounge area. The ground floor contains a large loading court that required column-free spaces, achieved through a transfer plate system supporting the edge of the tower above. The site also includes a freestanding pedestrian canopy on the southeast side, serving the bus terminal loading area. This canopy is concrete supported by freestanding, slanted steel columns on shallow foundations. An additional, larger canopy provides covered access to the garage entrance.
