Bliss and Nyitray was brought on to provide design-build services for “Park 6”, a 7-level, 5-bay parking garage at Miami International Airport (MIA). This post-tensioned, cast-in-place concrete structure accommodates at least 2,240 parking spaces and interconnects with the adjacent garage to the west by two steel pedestrian bridges. Additionally, the garage features two vehicular lanes with parking control devices, connecting it to the elevated roadway to the south. With each level presenting an area of 127,000 SF, the garage totals approximately 895,000 SF. Furthermore, the site includes an at-grade parking area for 34 high vehicles on the east side, providing essential parking solutions for airline and airport employees.
