Miami Cancer Institute Pedestrian Bridge

A comprehensive diagnostic and treatment cancer center that consists of a six-building complex at the north side of the Main Baptist Hospital site. An enclosed bridge, at 320 feet long, connects MCI to the main campus crossing a busy road with 70-foot span. We designed and detailed the bridge with precast elements to minimize time needed to shut down the road. The project is LEED Certified®. The bridge is designed to withstand high Category 5 hurricane winds.
