Boeing Assembly Plant Peer Review

A 1.2 million SF assembly plant for the Boeing Dreamliner Project, located in a moderately active seismic area. It features a 1000 feet long by 460 feet wide unobstructed floor space. The building is supported by steel braced frames and long span steel trusses. The project was on an aggressive 24 month schedule from ground breaking to topping out. The project utilized around 15,000 tons of structural steel and 1 million cubic feet of concrete.

A comprehensive peer review was conducted by creating independent structural analysis models to verify the current design.
