Comerica Park

The Detroit Tiger's new ballpark opened on April 11, 2000, and features the "World's" largest free standing Scoreboard Structure that includes two towers supporting the left field sport lighting. In right field stands a 185-foot-tall free-standing sport lighting tower. The playing field is located 28 feet below grade placing the Main Concourse at street level. The Main Concourse is framed with cast-in-place beams and one-way slabs and supports the structural steel, architecturally exposed stadium frame which "leans" towards the field. The stadium is supported on caissons.
