Whole Foods Centre
Beame Architectural Partnership, Kraft Construction Company
Sarasota, Florida
The 500,000 sf mixed-use facility includes an 11-story luxury condominium.
The 93 condominium units will surround a multi-level garage with a rooftop garden
and pool deck. The retail portion of the project is at street level and will
be anchored by a free standing Whole Foods supermarket.
The Whole Foods building has received LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental
Design) Silver Certification for this Sarasota location by the United States
Green Building Council (USGBC). The project was designed based on the LEED Green
Building Rating System®, such as providing skylights throughout the roof
to provide maximum daylight. This project is the sixth building in Florida to
receive LEED certification, and just 300 buildings worldwide have been awarded
certification.
