BNI was brought in to the 653,000 sf, $57 million expansion at Florida's eighth largest hospital. Phase I includes a parking garage and the Bixler Emergency Center. Phase II consists of a Family Care unit, Women's and Children's Center and a professional office building, as well as the remainder of the 800-car parking garage. There will also be a helicopter landing pad for emergency patients.

This project offers several structural complexities, including difficult subsoil conditions, a site that slopes 22 feet, and tie-ins to the existing hospital. A portion of the project is six stories tall while the remainder is three stories but designed for future expansion to seven stories.
