A 2-story court building, 37,000 gsf
Along with the City Hall, it frames the main urban square on two
sides. The classic, stoic form conveys the gravity and dignity of
the functions within and signals its importance to the community.
The monumental, two-story portico along the south façade,
offering protection from sun and
rain and providing a place to meet before entering, defines the
building’s entry. Organized around an interior “breezeway”,
the $5.5 million, two-story structure provides for three courtrooms
and judicial, clerical and civic support functions.
