Florida International University, Frost Art Museum

HOK Architects, Skanska Construction
Miami, Florida

HOK Florida has retained BNI for the Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Art at Florida
International University. The project has received tremendous support from the community, which recognizes that the present museum's physical space has not kept pace with its soaring prominence. Some 80% of the Museum's art objects are currently kept in storage.

The 40,000-sf museum is a 3-/4-story, L-shaped building situated along an existing lake on the University Park Campus in Miami-Dade County. It will feature seen exhibition galleries, a 4-story glass atrium at the entrance, a cafe and museum shop, and an outdoor sculpture deck that will
overhang the lake. The project also calls for an art studio classroom and a lecture hall for
students.
