Paul A. Zilio, P.E.
Senior Principal/Partner
When he joined Bliss & Nyitray, Inc. over twenty years ago, Paul had
already gathered a significant “hands-on” understanding of how buildings
go together. Working for a major general contractor, Paul had advanced to acting
superintendent on a wide variety of project types. These roles, combined with
his extensive design-build experience, have helped Paul gain an intimate knowledge
of constructability and partnering with the design/construction team.
To this day, Paul works closely with each project’s design-builder
or construction manager to select the most appropriate framing system. He
has designed a variety of project types using cast-in-place concrete, composite
precast concrete, tilt-up concrete and structural steel. His project experience
spans government buildings, office building, sports facilities, retail complexes
and educational facilities.
Given Paul’s role in the Bliss & Nyitrays leadership, including
financial management and the duties as corporate secretary and affirmative action
officer, he has become more selective in project involvement and today focuses
primarily on the firm’s educational facilities.
Paul is a Florida Certified Special Inspector and Certified General Contractor.
